Pain Medication Refills

The State of Ohio has made several changes in how pain medications are prescribed and how they are allowed to be refilled.  Most narcotic pain medications will no longer be able to be called in to the pharmacy.  They will NOW REQUIRE a physician's signature which is NOT always possible the day of the request.  Please do not call for refills on Fridays, expecting them to be refilled that day.  Physicians go to surgery and are not always available to sign prescriptions.  If a refill of a pain medication is needed, please contact the office 2 to 3 days prior to needing a refill to insure that you will receive your medication without delay.  PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND. NO PRESCRIPTIONS WILL BE FILLED AFTER HOURS, ON WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS! We apologize for any inconvenience that this new state legislation causes you.

Patient Portal

Toledo Orthopaedic Surgeons now has a patient portal that currently allows you to see your demographics, diagnoses, vitals, medication, allergies, and procedures performed in the office.  When you register your email address with us we will give you a temporary password to use to access your account. The patient portal is just a snapshot of your overall health record. The portal should not be used for urgent issues, prescription or appointment requests - those should be called into our office.
